Sonya Falkovskaia is a Master of Architecture candiate at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
At Harvard, she was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Her work focuses on equity and pedagogy in architecture and related design industries. She previously studied at The University of Bath, UK where she received First-Class Honors for her BSc in Architecture. She has also studied at the TU Delft, Netherlands, and ETH Zurich, Switzerland and MIT, USA. In 2020, she was accepted into MIT’s designX which welcomed 8 of MIT’s most promising start-ups to develop projects with seed funding and business mentorship. In 2019, she participated as a workshop leader at Hellowood’s 2019 International Architecture Festival, where her built project was featured on ArchDaily. During her studies at Harvard, she has been a teaching assistant and research assistant whilst also being a member of Harvard’s Presidential search student advisory committee. She has worked in London, UK and New York City, USA on a range of projects, focusing on cultural and adaptive re-use projects.
