A proposal for the new headquarters of the Municipal Arts Society of New York at the corner of Washington Square Park. Centered on the corner of the park, the site provides the opportunity to explore the implications of the corner on how MAS can be reimagined with a new public-facing approach to the city. Exploring themes of ‘blankness’, this proposal intertwines public and private through structure, circulation and light to create spaces that can be embodied in more inclusive ways to tackle the issue of exclusivity in a gate-kept profesison.
